Privacy & Cookie Policy

Thank you for using our services or visiting our website(s). In this privacy policy, we describe what information we collect, as well as how and why we do so, when you visit our website(s) or use our services. Our privacy policy also details how we use and publish this information. We take your privacy very seriously and will never sell lists or email addresses to any third parties.

This privacy policy takes precedence and pertains to – and respects – all information that we collected or will collect about and/or from you. If applicable, we employ separate terms of use for which we will always ask separate, deliberate permission.

We process and protect personal information with the utmost care and attention. Whenever we process personal data, we comply with relevant regulations, including the GDPR.

General Information about Cookies, SessionStorage and LocalStorage

Cookies, SessionStorage and LocalStorage are standardised ways for a website to store a small file of letters and numbers in your browser. These are typically used to remember your preferences, perform security checks, perform analytics, to recognise you as a unique user as you move from one page to another, and to issue you with a secret key when you login that authorises you to access areas of the website that are specific to you or only viewable to logged in users.

By default, it is not possible for one website to access the first-party cookies, LocalStorage or SessionStorage stored by another website, however if two websites make requests to the same third-party web domain, then that third party can store a cookie on the one website and access it on the other (these are known as “third party cookies”). Third party cookies that contain unique values can potentially be used to track you between websites that make requests to the third party.

Cookies are typically automatically deleted when you close your browser, or when their specified expiry date is reached. SessionStorage files are automatically deleted when you close your browser. LocalStorage are deleted when the website that stored them deletes them. You can also delete cookies and other storage from your browser at any time you like by visiting your web browser settings.

Different web browsers provide varying degrees of control over your browser’s cookies, SessionStorage and LocalStorage. You can change your browser settings, or if necessary change to a different browser, to automatically prevent 3rd party cookies from being stored. If you are concerned about online tracking you can also change your settings to send a “Do-Not-Track” signal to request websites not to use cookies or other mechanisms to track you, or you can install a browser extension such as Disconnect or Ghostery to block 3rd party tracking cookies on websites.

Please note that our website will provide you the best service only if you allow Cookies.

For example: YouTube or Vimeo videos, Imgur or Giphy gifs, SoundCloud audio files, Twitter tweets, GitHub code, or Scribd documents that appear within a Dr.Tuba post. These files send data to the hosted site just as if you were visiting that site directly (for example, when you load a Dr.Tuba post page with a YouTube video embedded in it, YouTube receives data about your activity). Dr.Tuba does not control what data third parties collect in cases like this, or what they will do with it. So, third-party embeds on Dr.Tuba are not covered by this privacy policy. They are covered by the privacy policy of the third-party service.

Failure to do so may lead Dr.Tuba to disable the post or take other action to limit or disable your account.

Functional: these cookies allow our websites to remember the choices you made during your visit (e.g. your username or language settings) in order to provide a more personalised online experience. They may also allow you to view videos, play games and use social tools such as blogs and chatrooms. The information gathered by these cookies may include information that you provided and which can identify you as a person, e.g. your username. This can be used to segment you based on your specific interests. These cookies are often used to send more personalised emails and show more relevant advertisements online. An advertisement network places one or more cookies on your computer or that of other website visitors via a third-party website. The network can access these cookies when you visit websites that are part of this advertisement network.
